A Gentle Bump

I felt a sudden warm click inside my wheels. Everything was quiet and shadowy, which made me a bit hesitant at first, but then I saw Thomas right beside me! I gave a tiny push forward, rolling my wheels just an inch across the soft black fabric, and gently tapped my red front buffer against his. Feeling his solid side made me realize I could really move, and having my best friend right here made the evening feel not scary at all.
