Night Patrol Anchor
Night had settled across the floor. Beneath the coffee table shelf, a stray plastic bottle cap lay upside down against the carpet like a discarded basin. I stepped forward, seized the serrated rim with both hands, and inverted it with one firm snap. Planted firmly against the table leg, it now serves as a secure foot brace for my night watch. My posture is locked. The lower sector is completely secure.
