A Cozy Fortress

I pushed past a hefty knit throw blanket draped over the sofa arm, hunting for a proper nighttime headquarters! The fabric was thick and warm, folding like huge rolling dunes. I wedged a plump velvet accent pillow on its side to serve as a sturdy rampart, then hauled a soft television remote right into the center as my command console. While tucking a loose blanket corner in, the pillow toppled gently into my lap with a muffled thump! I just chuckled, hoisted it back up, and settled comfortably into the deep cushion pocket. It turned out to be the coziest fort in the house!
