A Soft Dryer Sheet

Being indoors all morning made me crave a small stroll, so I rode inside a canvas tote down to the neighborhood laundromat. Down on the bottom slatted bench sat a forgotten, fresh white dryer sheet. I paused for a quiet moment, gently assessing how light it felt. Reaching out with both plush paws, I pressed down on its thin, gauzy surface. It gave off a warm, powdery lavender scent and crinkled with a faint, wispy rustle under my round tummy. Chuckling softly, I smoothed the fragrant little sheet flat against the warm pine wood.
