Tapping the Night Light

I trotted into the bedroom to escape the evening draft and spotted a squishy silicone night light shaped like a tiny pear resting on the rug! Its frosted rubber belly was dim and quiet. That looked like an invitation for a test tap! I planted my back paws, lunged forward, and gave its chubby side a hearty double-paw bop. The silicone squished right in under my weight and popped back out with a cheerful spring. Instantly, the whole pear bloomed with a soft, warm amber glow, casting long golden shadows across my front paws! I circled the warm little beacon twice and curled up with my paws tucked right against its gentle light.
