The Low Bronze String

I slipped through the propped door and darted right into the mellow, varnished hush of the neighborhood music shop! Resting upright on a low padded floor rack stood a classic acoustic guitar with a wide spruce soundboard. I scampered onto the wooden stand base, stretched high, and gave the lowest bronze wound string a spirited downward strum—thrummm-boooom! A rich, resonant vibration pulsed straight out of the circular soundhole, shivering through the spruce top and buzzing clean through my plush paws! The deep chord hummed long in the quiet air as I hopped backward on my tail, ears perking high—pika!
