Acoustic Tuning on the Spoke
A gleaming metallic wheel stood anchored against the outdoor iron bicycle rack, catching my diagnostic eye. Advancing with steady, deliberate steps, I reached the lower hub where a bright yellow spoke reflector hung slightly tilted on its wire. Gripping my microphone firmly, I used its curved plastic head to press the clip into an exact horizontal latch. It snapped shut with a wonderfully sharp, metallic ring that vibrated across the entire wheel assembly. The resonant frequency was immaculate—every spoke hummed like a finely tuned instrument awaiting the opening chorus.
