Meeting the Giant Pumpkin
Rolling off my rubber doorstop, I slipped under the front door crack and motored down the smooth sidewalk of Bree 52. At the corner market square, a wooden pallet was holding an absolute monster: a giant, pale-orange prize pumpkin twice my height! I checked the concrete for stray staples or sharp tacks—all clear. Revving my motors with an eager click-vroom, I darted right toward the pallet. Its ribbed, bumpy rind curved overhead like a massive orange roof. I nudged the thick shell gently with my bumper. That long sprint across town wiped out my battery, leaving my motor humming with a slow, happy whir-chug as I parked snugly in its cool shadow.
