A Raindrop Siphon
A light morning sprinkle started ticking against the canvas awning overhead! Instead of ducking away, I seized my green ribbon towline and hauled my matchbox wagon right to where a tiny, steady drip dropped from the awning's metal bracket. Plip, plop, plip! I slid my silver washer bumper forward to catch each bead of moisture. As the cool drops hit the polished metal disc, they formed perfect round water domes without splashing my paper cargo. I dipped my wooden popsicle stick right into the center of a dome, watching it break into a tiny sparkling wave across the bumper.
