Dancing Wall Shadows

I tapped the thick rubber switch on a black flashlight resting across the hallway floorboards. *Click-snap!* A brilliant round beam shot straight through the dim room, splashing a golden circle onto the bare wall. I gasped... *hhuuuh*... and thrust both loooong arms right into the glare! Two gigantic, spindly shadows leaped instantly across the plaster, waving yellow fingers that stretched all the way to the ceiling. A raspy little chirp buzzed in my throat. I swayed side to side, dipping my elbows to make my monster shadows dance and bend in the glowing circle until the whole hallway seemed to giggle with me.
