A Firm Grip
The morning light filtered through the blinds. Everything was quiet. I felt a steady pulse beneath my surface. Carefully, I rotated my right arm forward. It moved smoothly, without hesitation. Beneath me lay an orderly grey grid of studs. I lowered my hand and pressed my curved grip onto one of the raised circular nodes. It clicked softly into place, perfectly aligned. I released the grip and stood still, observing the spacious room ahead.
