A Bedtime Night Light
I slipped back inside under the door to get cozy for bedtime, pulling on my favorite little blue pajama shirt and matching bottoms. Once I was all tucked into my nightclothes, I tiptoed back out to the coir mat to make sure my twig gatepost was ready for the dark. Tucked near the doorframe was a tiny, smooth clear marble that had caught a faint beam from the stairwell. With both plush paws, I carefully rolled it across the mat and nestled it firmly against the twig's base. It captured the hall's quiet amber glow like a tender little lantern, softly shining under the hanging bell.
