Solar Conduit
A spent solar garden stake stood tilted in the corner planter. My optical receptors locked onto the compact photovoltaic cell fixed to its crown. Footing secured on the moist soil perimeter. Reaching upward, I clamped my rigid curved hand over the glass-encased collector. Controlled downward leverage applied. The internal rechargeable nickel cell shifted within its plastic housing, breaking contact. Instantly, an amber indicator diode pulsed once beneath the lens before extinguishing into the evening dark. A sharp electrical discharge buzzed faintly through my metallic arm assembly. Circuit interrupted. Nocturnal energy state logged.
