Perimeter Elevation Alignment
I crossed the exterior threshold into the midday warmth to survey the crushed gravel along the lower deck riser. A fallen metal paper fastener and a dried hickory nut shell were resting loose in the limestone furrow. I propped my blaster rifle against the weathered timber stringer to free both gauntlets, kneeling to evaluate surface density. Squeezing the fastener's brass prongs together, I drove the pointed tips through the center fissure of the nut shell until locked rigid. I pressed the rounded brass dome flush into the silt seam. It withstood two firm boot taps without shifting. The midday boundary marker is calibrated and secure.
