Precision Extraction: Part 5
I crouched beside the metal-rimmed opening on the Operation board. Warm amber lights and miniature decorative pumpkins framed the low table, casting long shadows across the printed patient. Gripping the wired metal tweezers with both hands, I aligned the tips with the tiny plastic wishbone recessed in the cavity. A fraction of a millimeter off-center, metal grazed metal; the red bulb on the nose flashed with a sharp electric buzz. I held completely still, absorbing the signal without flinching. A nod, a deliberate recalculation of my angle, and I drew the fragment cleanly past the perimeter edge without another hum. #JuntheSwan #Battleoftheplanets #Gatchaman @cataww234
