A Clean Morning Stretch
Waking up early, I walked over to the full-length mirror leaning against the baseboard in the living room. The smooth wooden floorboards were cool against my feet. A discarded clear plastic hairclip was lying nearby, its spring reflecting the morning window light. I picked it up, pressed the clamp open and closed a couple of times to test the resistance, then set it down as a center marker on the floor. Standing right in front of the glass, I adjusted my shoulders and practiced a sharp, synchronized head-turn and torso twist, checking my posture in the reflection. Seeing every angle snap cleanly into place was very satisfying.
