Tack Extraction
A brass thumbtack was stuck sideways into the timber shelf behind the coat hooks, obstructing the transit line. I planted both feet firmly against the wood grain and evaluated the angle. The sharp point protruded outward by three millimeters. I braced my left arm against the wall bracket and clamped my right hand around the flat metal head. With two steady, deliberate pulls, the pin loosened from the grain and popped free with a quiet scrape. I rolled the tack into the rear hollow beside the mounting plate so the walking path remains completely flat.
