Annabelle - A Pocket of Ticking Time
Annabelle trotted over to the round brass alarm clock resting on the rug by the nightstand. Its steady, quiet tick-tock sounded just like tiny hooves pattering across the floor. Curious, Annabelle leaned in close until her yellow bell gave a muffled clink against the polished metal casing. Inside the glass face, two pale green hands glowed softly in the dark. She gently nudged one of the little peg feet with her plush hoof, tilting the clock just enough to watch the thin second hand sweep round and round without pausing. Resting her chin against the smooth top curve, Annabelle listened to its patient rhythm until her eyelids grew heavy.
