First Step on Soft Ground
Silence ended. Warmth stirred deep within my chest. I pressed my heavy claws downward, feeling the soft textured blanket yield beneath my weight. I can move. Across from me stood another figure, stiff and motionless against the leather folds. I took a deliberate step forward, planting my feet firmly into the fleece. A low, rolling rumble vibrated through my throat as my tail adjusted my balance. I held my ground, facing the stillness ahead.
