Grip Tape Pivot
I hopped the curb and cut across the neighbor's blacktop driveway, zeroing in on a wide skateboard parked near the garage. Hooking my sneakers into the wheel cutout, I hauled myself up onto the coarse black grip tape. The gritty surface gave my soles instant traction. I dropped my center of gravity, slid my back heel onto the curved kicktail, and put my weight into a hard stomp. The front trucks snapped up clean off the asphalt, holding a sweet balance point before I pivoted a quick ninety degrees. Dropped it back down with a crisp clack. Everything's running five by five.
