Upside Down Assessment

First thing I knew: the living room was completely inverted. I was dangling headfirst over the sofa's edge, legs hooked precariously over the top cushion. Not an orderly start. I blinked, tested the bend in my cloth fingers, and realized I could actually direct them. Carefully, I reached up and pressed a hand against the front of my vest, feeling the small plastic green soldier perched right against my chest. Steadying my grip on the couch fabric, I held still, making sure neither of us tumbled off.
