The Cryptids: The Local News Team follows Mervin, Franklin, Calvin, and Dale running a disastrously incompetent local news broadcast. Mervin confidently claims people trust him because of his deep voice, Franklin tries to keep things professional, Calvin turns a sunny forecast into a paranoid weather emergency, and Dale reports that “the hockey guys beat the other hockey guys.” Mervin proudly announces they’re number four in the ratings—until Franklin reminds him there are only four stations. Mervin simply replies, “Still counts.” @dako
