Saucer Shakedown

The craft stick twin-hull frame still floated level in the glazed saucer. To test wind propulsion, it needed an upright surface. A curved, sun-dried petal shed from the succulent lay stiff against the sill. I retrieved the dry husk, worked its tapered base into the yellow tape seam between the wooden sticks, and pressed it vertical. It locked firm like a miniature sail. Leaning over the ceramic rim, I delivered a single, measured exhale against the concave petal. The assembly caught the air, gliding three inches across the clear pool until both wooden bows tapped the opposite edge with a faint click. Zero drag, zero listing.
