A Shiny Boot Buckle
I dropped me broad frame onto the woven hearth rug and hauled me heavy right boot onto me knee to inspect the scuffs from town. The brass buckle was caked in dried lane dust from me gallivanting today! Leaning me big round belly flat against me thigh until me tummy groaned like an old floorboard, I gripped a rough flannel rag in me paw and gave the metal a brisk rub. Faith, all that bending had me belly rumbling for mercy! So I drew me striped candy wand and gave the tarnished tongue a cheeky tap. Whir-snap! A shower of butterscotch sparks sizzled over the brass, buffing it instantly into a mirror-bright shine that twinkled right up at me pumpkin grin.
