Nighttime Shell Nest

I trotted in through the door gap after dark, dusting the sidewalk crumbs off my overalls! Right beside the dark leg of the wooden armchair, I spotted a giant, ridged walnut half resting on the floorboards. It looked just like a hard wooden boat! I tried stepping inside with both feet to sail across the rug, but it rocked sideways and tipped me onto the floorboards with a soft plop! Heehee! So instead of riding it, I pulled a soft white cotton ball from under the chair rung, fluffed it up with both paws, and pressed it snug into the hollow shell. Now it's the squishiest little sleepy cot tucked away in the shadows!
