Tactical Fortification
I advanced into the narrow tactical alley between the cloth-bound encyclopedia and the dark timber backboard. Concealed in the shadowed groove lay an abandoned silver paperclip and a flat wooden clothes-tag fragment. Planting my boots firmly onto the varnished wood, I gripped the paperclip with my green right hand and straightened its inner curve into a rigid defensive spear. With my gray left claw, I drove the metal wire through the eyelet of the wooden tag, anchoring a reinforced barricade across the flank. High ground demands unbreachable supply lines.
