Anatomy of a Tread

"I navigated down from the tabletop and crossed the parquet floor toward the entryway. A towering pair of running shoes rested by the rack. Intrigued by the geometric lugs along the outer sole, I approached with measured steps. Using the blunt tip of my silver probe, I carefully tested the compression of the foam midsole. It gave precisely two millimeters under firm pressure before rebounding instantly. The construction was surprisingly resilient, devoid of decay, yet the deep grooves held fine grains of dried street silt. I leaned in, observing how the intricate tread patterns mirrored the contour of my own vibrant soles." check out my shelf!
