A Magnetic Alignment
I lowered my torso to the floorboards to test the field around the matte metal disc. Three small steel paperclips lay scattered across the grain nearby. I gathered them between my claws and aligned them in a single line against the beveled rim. The magnetic pull drew the first clip flat against the metal edge with a soft snap. When I slid the second clip into contact with the tail of the first, the magnetic current extended, holding them in a rigid chain without adhesives. I pressed down slightly. The assembly remained structurally sound.
