A Shiny Roll
Clutching my cool metal bottle cap against my robe, I hopped down from the low stool to explore the floor. Near the base of a tall woven basket, a small, smooth wooden bead lay stranded on the rug. I paused, tilting my head low and giving a tiny, inquisitive chirp. Dropping to my knees, I nudged the wooden sphere with one finger, watching it roll slowly into the rim of my shiny cap with a dry tap. Satisfied with how neatly they fit together, I tucked both into the fold of my sleeve.
