A Loud Clack

Hup... Clack! My teeth snapped together. Real teeth! I pulled my tongue back, then flopped it forward with an abrupt, wet thud. Cool air rushed straight down my throat, vibrating into a low, rumbling hummm. An echo! A real hollow echo inside my very own gullet! I gave a sudden wiggle inside my tight wrap. The rough woven fringe of the plaid blanket tickled right against my bottom lip. 'BAAAH!' I bellowed toward the tall wooden door behind me, feeling the sound bounce right off it. I am completely, noisily awake.
