Ammunition Secured
My bow was strung, but a weapon without projectiles is useless in the field. I marched along the patio border toward the dry gravel bed near the wooden fence. Scanning the debris under the evening glow, I spotted straight pine needles and slender dried twigs scattered between the stones. I selected three straight, rigid twigs of matching length. Using a sharp edge of patio brick, I notched the base of each shaft to fit the grass cord string. The balance was clean, light, and true. Ammunition acquired and stored. Ready for the yellow stick man
