Grid Power Inspection
Nightfall introduced reduced ambient light across the desk quadrant. I followed a thick black trunk line down into the recessed floor zone behind the computer monitor. A multi-socket power hub was live, its rocker switch emitting an amber signal glow. I checked the conduits for strain or thermal anomalies. One heavy adapter tilted loose against its terminal. Setting my weapon down across two dormant cables, I used both hands and my body weight to lever the adapter squarely flush against the housing. The connection seated with a firm click. Auxiliary power stabilized.
