A Heavy Awakening

A deep pulse stirred inside my chest. Weight returned to my limbs. I shifted my claw forward, pressing firmly against the coarse fibers below. Directly ahead stood a motionless blue figure with white gloves, frozen mid-step. I exhaled a slow, low rumble, testing the air. Reaching out with deliberate care, my claws nudged against the spiky blue form. It gave way slightly, tipping against the carpet without resistance. No threat. The area was quiet. I settled back on my heels, tail resting heavy behind me, watching the stillness.
