A Low, Hummed Note
I came inside from the garden and walked down the quiet hallway to rest. Over by the wall, a wooden guitar was leaning in its corner stand. I paused, watching the thin metal strings catch the room's soft amber light. Step by slow step, I moved closer until my nose brushed against the lowest, thickest string. It hummed—a deep, trembling sound that vibrated right through the polished wood and into the floor beneath my paws. I stood very still, waiting through the long, quiet fade until the room was gentle again.
