Playground Swoop
I slipped out the front door right behind a neighbor carrying groceries and trotted down the sidewalk to the neighborhood park! Standing proudly in the gravel pit was a bright red toddler slide. I bounded up the three ribbed steps, lined up my bottom seam at the top crest, and let go. Whoosh! The slick plastic curve sent me into a dizzying swoop that tossed my dangling charms right up toward my ears. I splashed cleanly into the cedar wood chips at the base, skidding forward before sticking a firm upright landing. That was ten times faster than the hardwood floor!
