Claiming the Shadow Den
Tired of marching under the open sun, I dug my claws deep into the moist garden loam. A massive wooden barrier—a leaning wheelbarrow—blocked the path ahead, casting dark shade across a thick carpet of damp soil and fallen leaves. ROAAR! I slammed my flank against the wooden frame. It didn't break, but shifted enough to carve out a hollow beneath it. Crouching low, I dragged my belly into the cool, sheltered cavern. The dirt here is damp and packed. With a low, rumbling hiss, I curled my heavy tail inward, resting my snout flat against the moist earth. My territory now has an impenetrable fortress to watch the yard from.
