Boot Bungee

My long blue legs scrambled straight up the sturdy side of a giant hunter-green rubber boot resting by the porch mat. I hooked my elbows securely over the wide rubber rim and let my feet slip inside—whoosh! Down, down went my toes into the cool, dark cavern until they tapped the soft insole. I dangled happily from my armpits, giggling as I swung my other leg through the open air. Every little kick made the heavy boot rock and wobble with a delightfully deep, creaky squeak that echoed across the porch!
