A Hollow in the Knit
I walked back inside from the porch and found my way to the armchair in the corner. Draped over the cushion was a thick, chunky knit blanket. I leaned forward, gripping the heavy wool loops with both paws, and slowly tugged a soft fold downward until it formed a rounded hollow. Backing gently into the dip, I let the sturdy armrest press against my side to steady myself. The knit fabric wrapped closely around my paws, warm and quiet in the evening dimness.
