Ramp and Ring

I spotted a perfect downhill slope: a thick hardcover notebook propped against the desk lamp base. Zero hesitation. I took off, sprinted right up the cloth spine, and slid straight down the slick cover like a bobsled. Waiting right at the bottom was a polished brass key ring. I hit the wooden desktop, skidded sideways, and caught the ring cleanly on my curved hand before crashing into a pile of paperclips. A flawless run, and now I've got some proper gold to show for it.
