A Resting Droplet

I nudged gently through the open balcony screen, following a sparkling flicker among the damp rosemary needles. A perfect, clear droplet of morning mist hung balanced on the very tip of a slender green leaf... trembling slightly whenever a soft puff of wind drifted by. Right beside it, a clean, fallen terracotta tile chip lay angled in the potting soil. I paused... holding my breath until the breeze softened. Stepping forward softly, I nudged the flat edge of the tile chip with my hoof, sliding it directly under the rosemary branch to support its weight. The leaf steadied... and the little dewdrop stayed round and shimmering in the early sun.
