A Gentle Tap
A warm resonance stirred within my chest. I opened my bill and felt breath hum across my throat like a tuned chime. Leaning slightly forward, my wing lifted on its own and lightly grazed the cool brass trombone resting beside me. A low, musical vibration rang out through the air, settling sweetly into the silence. I paused right there, listening to the chime dissolve before the crimson curtain.
