Lily does some action!

I scrambled all the way up the curtain hem to reach the broad wooden window sill! Right there, bathed in bright morning light, was a long, silky white blind cord swaying in the breeze. Without waiting, I caught the plastic ring at the bottom with one hand and wrapped both my thick braids securely around the cord like anchor ropes. One firm tug to test the bounce—whoosh! The whole cord zipped up an inch and sent me swinging into a mid-air spiral before I landed neatly on both feet right next to a sunny potted succulent!
