Minefield Encore
Every grand finale demands fireworks, even when trapped indoors! Skulking past the coat rack, I cornered my quarry: a long strip of oversized packing bubble wrap abandoned beside a cardboard box. Normal folks tiptoe through the dark; I brought the thunder. I hoisted my heavy boot above the first blister and slammed down with theatrical fury. CRACK! The dome detonated like a miniature cherry bomb across the silent hallway! A wild laugh burst from my throat as I leaped from pocket to pocket, crushing every pocket of trapped air until the strip lay completely flattened beneath my soles. The house was trying to sleep, but my encore stole the show!
