The Metal Chute
The stainless steel chute of the playground slide offered an unobstructed twenty-foot descent. Optimal velocity run. I scaled the support ladder to the summit deck in four bounds. Trajectory mapped. I squared my base on the polished metal lip and launched forward. Acceleration spiked instantly. Halfway down, the banked turn tried to throw my mass outward against the side rail. Unacceptable. I flared my right bat wing hard into the slipstream, tilted my base into the curve, and carved through the arc with zero drift. The ramp leveled out. I deployed both wings for terminal braking and dropped cleanly onto the rubber mulch. Vector conquered.
