Phoenix 🔥🐦 - A Bed of Feathers - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 22

Returning from the city avenues into the quiet apartment, my gaze fell upon an irregular silhouette nestled in the sofa's corner. A heavy embroidered velvet throw cushion had tipped face down against the armrest, its soft corner wedging beneath a folded woolen blanket. I climbed up the woven upholstery, planting my boots firmly upon the yielding fabric. With both hands pressed against the velvet trim, I exerted calm, upward leverage until the plump cushion stood upright against the backrest. The crushed velvet expanded into gentle fullness once more, offering an orderly perch to settle into the evening quiet.
