Tire Tread Inspection
I pushed past the heavy apartment door frame into the hallway and spotted a giant pair of black running sneakers parked by the mat. The thick rubber outsoles had deep, zigzagging traction grooves cut into them! I dropped down onto one knee and gripped the firm rubber tread with my blocky hand, running my fingers through the miniature canyons of the grip pattern. It was sturdy, grippy, and built for serious speed. I even wedged a tiny plastic spare peg into one of the grooves to test the fit. Prime engineering!
