Spoon Springboard Launch

Waking up with stored-up momentum, I vaulted onto the polished dining table and locked eyes with an empty ceramic cereal bowl. Resting slanted across its wide rim was a heavy stainless steel soup spoon, with the round bowl perched high like a loaded seesaw. I backed up, hit full stride across the wood grain, and slammed both red sneakers onto the thin metal neck. Clang! The spoon teetered like lightning, sending an abandoned toasted oat loop flying in a golden arc straight across the tabletop. It landed with a tiny skitter next to a paper napkin. Perfect trick shot before heading outdoors!
