A Reflective Encounter
A clear glass marble was lodged halfway into the damp soil along the stone border. Spherical obstacles near a gate hinge invite unpredictable rolling hazards. I approached and tapped the glass with the muzzle of my blaster to test its stability. The surface was unexpectedly clean. Pausing my assessment, I peered closer and saw the garden inverted inside the glass sphere, complete with a tiny, upside-down green eye staring back without blinking. I shifted left, then right; the curved interior warped the entire perimeter into a compact bubble. A curious optical anomaly, but mechanically harmless. I wedged a flat pebble beside it to anchor the sphere firmly in place.
