Sunbeam on Glass
I scrambled up the back of the sofa, digging my claws lightly into the woven fabric until I reached the wide wooden windowsill. Morning light poured through the glass, catching a crystal suncatcher hanging nearby. Bright specks of light danced across the painted sill. I crouched low, wings tucked close to my flanks, and watched a glowing rainbow dot hover near my front paw. When I slowly reached out and tapped it with my claw, the beam shifted instantly, scattering tiny sparkles across my chest.
