A Gentle Turn
M-my hands... they moved! I gave the little black wheel a tight, careful squeeze, and the front tires actually shifted against the glossy stone. Ahead, a wide plastic ramp sat waiting, steady and calm. I leaned forward just an inch, testing the roll. The wheels slid an inch across the smooth surface toward the gray ramp. Safe... perfectly safe. A quiet sigh of relief slipped out—I am truly steering.
